1) Title: Similarity Detection in Java Programming Assignments

Description:

The project entitled “Similarity Detection in Java Programming Assignments” is to find out the similarity between the java programs. There is no separate software in the market to find the similarity between the java programs accurately. So this project will help the organization to identify whether the programs of the students are unique and will report the similarity percentage of the compared files.

The project will work in an interactive mode and batch mode. The purpose of interactive mode is to take two separate files as user choice, compare those files and inform the user about the similarity between the programs.

The purpose of batch mode is to take input in terms of a folder. The folder contains the list of java programs and checks the similarity between the programs. This mode has to process all the files and give a report, specifying the similarity between the programs. In both the modes it’s not possible to give an empty file as well as non java files as input.
