Dates: 2008-2010

Directed the architectural and construction activity of my own company. The scale of work encompasses a broad range of residential building from 1000 m2 to 20000 m2. As the head of structural designer collaborated with others cross disciplines specially architecture to develop the efficient output. Delivered engineering and construction E&C activity of over 15000 m2 commercial complex on stipulated schedules.

Some of my major responsibilities are explained as follow:

• Analysis and design of complex structures using STAAD PRO and SAP 2000 and other software analysis.

• Organized, drafted and coordinated production of drawings and specifications to ensure technical accuracy.

• Performed, supervised, monitored and inspected construction aspects of the project such as: excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concrete pouring, and other engineering tasks related to the project as required.

• Conducted QA/QC on steel framework, reinforcing steel mesh and concrete pouring.

Dates: 1999-2008

Managed department workflow and operations in providing in-house engineering support for structural engineering design services .Developed and reviewed all design concepts and supervised junior design engineers. Directed highly technical projects with short time frames and tight deadlines. Delivered completed projects on time and within budget. Scope of work included code driven design calculations; structural, stress, finite element (FEA), and safety and failure analysis; redesign for continuing operation, quality assurance and quality control; budget and schedule monitoring.

Projects included residential and commercial structure ; Concrete and Earth fill dam and other appurtenant dam structure like spillway ,intake tower , power house, diversion tunnel, facility building ; Variety of soil and water retaining structure ;environmental structure such as water and waste water treatment plant and etc .

Some of the highlighted projects are mentioned as follow:

1. Chamshir Dam Project

The roller compacted concrete RCC dam with 148 height of river bank with other appurtenants structure such as 13 m diameter diversion tunnel and 6 m diameter long pressured conveyance tunnel , two unit of 55 KW power house and a number of other facility structures which went into EPC tender on approximately $ US 400 million.

• Head of structural engineering team to perform the structural analysis , safety and failure calculation of aforementioned structure to select the most suitable and integrated alternative on multiple view.

• Directed the extensive construction material study to evaluate the quantity and quality of any alternative.

• Introduced and justified the innovative RCC Dam alternative as most suitable option in multiple professional views.

• Prepared the all EPC technical specification document along with cost estimation.

2. Saradan Dam Project

The Earth fill dam project built on middle of desert to harness the destructive storm into the invaluable water to develop the local agriculture. 20 m height Earth fill dam, 15 m height concrete Ogee spillway combined with Intake and Outlet gate chamber, over Pass Bridge and etc is of the major project structure.

• Conducted the study process of project encompassing planning study, detail design, engineering and construction E&C as project manager.

• Carried out structural design and calculation of aforementioned structure and supervising and mentoring the junior engineers.

• Proposed innovative solutions and cost saving alternatives to meet clients’ objectives and expectations and to establish win-win relationships.

• Created and made technical presentations and attended sales meetings to address technical issues to secure new business. Identified and resolved clients’ questions and concerns

• Facilitated smooth execution of projects by attending regular progress meetings with clients and visiting construction sites. Monitored the project budget schedule and reported monthly and quarterly along with amendment advices.

3. Mayjaran Dam Project

The 53 m Rock fill asphaltic concrete core dam ACRD project built in narrow valley encompassing a number of hydraulic structures like Chute Spillway, diversion tunnel, a underground gate chamber, some slope stability structure and etc.

• Provided leadership and direction for engineering team during the project lifecycle from initial concept through construction. Directly calculated and designed the major component of project in term of structural. Provided the tender document for project and conducted the bidding procedure including the screening the tender attendees, appraise the bid submitted and awarding the contract till initiating the construction phase.

• Contributed to cross-functional team meetings for value engineering purposes. Analyzed full project lifecycle to identify improvements and cost saving strategies.

• Collaborated and coordinated with field services group personnel about scope of work, client deliverables, problem resolution, and development of repair methods.

There are a number of other project having done during this period which are more or less similar to above and I just confine them on the name: The 13 small hydropower plant on Zakros mountain, Farim Sahara rock fill dam on 35 m of height, the 45 m high Earth fill dam named Shah-Ghasem dam and etc.

Position: Structural design specialist

Dates: 1994-1999

Held multiple responsibilities for engineering, project management, business unit operation. assisted the engineers and designers in the structural design of municipal structures like buried or aerial water reservoir water and waste water treatment plant ,hydraulic structure corresponding to dam and hydro power project , water irrigation structure and other specialty structures. Led and conducted structural, finite element, safety and failure, and seismic analysis.

Some of the highlighted project is listed as follow:

1. Structural design of municipal water network structures on Gonbad city

Carried out the structural calculation and design of 25000 m3 buried water reservoir and other typical municipal structure like valve chamber over pass pipeline and etc. Evaluated the existence 1000 m3 aerial water tank on 35 meter tower in term of structural and seismic issues. Conducted the periodic inspection of construction site and support the site engineers and review the initial design.

2. Structural Design of waste water treatment plant of Saghez and Asadabad city

Developed the broad range of structural calculation and design from concrete environmental structures exposing with sewer to appurtenance office building, storage warehouses and so on. Supported the site engineers group on occasion of needs. Prepared the design specification and construction documents and cost estimation.

3. Structural Design of buried water reservoir of Yassoj and Dehdasht city

Completed the municipal drinking water storage structural design of Yasoj City and Dehdasht including 7 ground reservoirs across the city with a total amount of 55,000 cubic meters.

4. Structural Design of component and appurtenance of irrigation network

Conducted the structural calculation and design of component & appurtenance structure of the Irrigation and drainage network System of Choram and Roum cultivating land including six diversion dam, three storage pool, two pump station and several type of other small structure .
