• Managed North American customer service for this asset based specialty LTL, and truck load carrier

• Supervised & trained six representatives to perform at the best possible level of service to our customers, costing models for large scale distributions. Analysis of internal and external date in order to maximize T/L, and LTL costing and service. Managed Special Projects POP Division; handling large scale roll outs of Point of Purchase Displays requiring special delivery services such as; pricing negotiations, lift gate, two men, and inside deliveries unpack, and debris removal. In many cases would contract for additional installation services, negotiation of carrier service and pricing contracts

• Heavy interaction with all departments using my previous experience negotiating contracts with a multitude of nationwide LTL service providers

Corporate Domestic traffic Manager 2005-2006

Managed all aspects of this newly created department

• Re-negotiated all common carrier contracts which resulted in an anticipated 10 million dollar savings annually from a 35mm LTL spend. Brought in new T/L carriers that resulted in a 35% reduction in spend on 20mm. Established both LTL and Truck Load carrier development guidelines, and RFQ development from historical data.

• Negotiated drayage service for all ramp to door, and door to ramp container moves

• Negotiated special commodity services that required over dimensional, and over weight service providers

• Sought out computer software program that could handle multi dimensional costing for our world wide offices to use. Establishing an automated venue in which our offices could provide a complete delivery cost to the customer. This saved an enormous amount of time from the original manual process, increasing sales and service.

• Implemented this costing program using an outside vendor utilizing web based access within 1 year and under budget

Manager of Terminal &Warehousing and Distribution Services 1991-2003

• Managed distribution and delivery services for a major off price retailer- serving 78 retail stores

• Developed loss prevention and handling programs which saved an estimated $3,000,000 over a 3 year period

• Staff management- 2 supervisory, 33 general labor personnel, 1 administrative assistant and 13 city drivers. Setup a supervisory training program to assist in developing better people and overall communication skills. The program resulted in a more stable work force with fewer turnovers

• Facility Development- Proposed design of new distribution facility to accommodate new and current clients. This included designing accessibility, room division, conveyor systems, etc. for the proposed facility

• Facility Maintenance- Oversaw facility maintenance operations and responsible for complying with OSHA regulations. Streamlined day today operations resulting in a safer and better working environment

• Negotiated telecommunication systems and service contracts- Over a five year period saved $175,000 per year on long distance and local telecommunication charges
