Welding Procedures: include SMAW (stick), GTAW (Tig), GMAW (Mig), FCAW (Flux-core), Submerged Arc. As well as Gas Welding - Brazing, Soldering, Plasma – Cutting Systems, Arc Gouging.

• Assembles, analyzes defects in, and repairs boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats in field, following blueprints and using hand tools and portable power tools and equipment.

• Locates and marks reference points for columns or plates on foundation, using master straightedge, squares, transits, and measuring tape, and applying knowledge of geometry.

• Attaches rigging or signals crane operator to lift parts to specified position.

• Aligns structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame, tanks, or vats, using plumb bobs, levels, wedges, dogs, or turnbuckles.

• Flame-cuts, files, or grinds irregular edges of sections or structural parts to facilitate fitting edges together.

• Arc-welds structures and sections together.

• Positions drums and headers into supports and bolts or welds supports frame.

• Aligns water tubes and connects and expands ends to drums and headers, using tube expander.

• Boiler Maker/Combination Welder highly skilled in areas of aluminum, ferrous and non-ferrous (CS, SS), exotics (Alloys), and next generations medals.

• Qualified under AWS, ASMW, and Mil-Standard 248 to do all plate and pipe welding on non-nuclear systems made of S1, S2, S4, S5, S11A and S11B material using Groups A5A, 5D, A2A, 3A, 4A, 6A, 7A1, A2 and A1A filler metal.

• Types of Stainless mostly used: 316, 904, 309, 317, and 308.
