Achievements & Business Outcomes
• Implemented the ‘Ready for Tomorrow’ project which rolled out a move to a new building, refit/refurbishment, and a change to the way employees work from a fixed desk to flexi working model. This affected over 50% of our employee population. I was responsible for all the change management, communications and employee satisfaction.
• Key member of the Rightsizing Project Team, I implemented my areas reduction program which met the business’ timeframes and achieved our fixed cost savings goals. At the same time I managed the employees out in a professional and positive manner (some have since returned to work for us) and did all of this whilst still keeping the rest of the workforce focused on delivering other key initiatives.
• On-boarding champion and sat on the project steering committee. This programme was rolled out in a year were we had more 41% of our hires coming from offshore.
• I designed, developed, sourced and rolled out a new Employment offer pack which contains all the employment material (offer, relocation, benefits, forms etc). This pack received significant commentary from the recruitment industry (‘best they had ever seen’) and samples of the pack have been shipped to other ALU offices including Australia, Japan, California and the UK.
Responsibilities
• Coaching and supporting Business Leaders & High Potential employees. I am a certified coach in PDI and Learning Agility (Korn Ferry). I have coached several senior leaders including the CFO, Head of Legal and Contracts, General Programme Managers and Programme Directors.
• Build a strong performance culture in the business by managing out poor performers. I have managed out numerous poor performers improving company productivity equally; I have turned poor performers into productive employees ensuring a return on investment.
• Mediate employment issues between the company/managers/employees. Some of the issues I have managed include company fraud (theft and falsifying documents), removing employees from customer sites, bullying, sexual harassment, breach of human rights, withdrawal of employment offers etc.
• Guide business leaders on workforce plans (temporary vs. permanent employees) to ensure we have the right population for our work pipeline. Provide advice on areas of concern eg. shortages of skills, single points of failure etc. Collaborate with the in house recruitment team to source the right people.
