parents who were court ordered to take the class.

Fundamental events.
Participated in ordering books for the school and setting up the venue.

VOLUNTEER AND OTHER EXPERIENCE:
I volunteer with the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency. I teach a “quality of life” class to homeless persons
in their transitional program. I will also be the keynote speaker for their July graduation.
I served on the board of the Athens Chamber of Commerce Women In Business Council as a part of the communications team. I was a writer for the quarterly newsletter that I had the pleasure of naming “The Catalyst”. My article focused on Women’s Issues.
I was the president of a collegiate multi-cultural organization called United In Harmony (UIH). During my term as president I grew the organization from 5 to 45 members and established 5 branches in which students could participate. I was responsible for officiating meetings with the board and soliciting funds for our organization. I was also responsible for planning and organizing our annual concert that usually hosted four to five other non-collegiate choral groups.
I worked as a Resident Assistant at Emmanuel College. I supervised and counseled 21 girls on my hall.
I volunteered with the Red Cross to create databases for victims of Hurricane Katrina who were displaced and then living in Athens, GA
I volunteered with the Athens Homeless Coalition by helping serve the homeless
AWARDS:
Awarded the 2011 President’s Excellence in Leadership Award by the Emmanuel College Leadership Initiative
Won 1st place in the 2011 Annual Psychology Research Symposium for my research on domestic violence against men. I also received honorable mention in the overall competition.
