Thesis Title: “Hormonal Regulation of Boll Abscission and Immature Boll Opening in Cotton”

As Junior Research Fellow did research work to test different terpenoid compounds which were isolated and synthesized in the Department of Chemistry, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, for Physiological/Biological activities i.e. alpha amylase activity in seeds etc.

Taught B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. classes as an Assistant Botanist/Pool Officer at Department of Botany, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.

Taught B.Sc. (Gen.) and B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany as Lecturer in Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi.

International Experience

As an Agricultural Engineer with Ministry of Agricultural and Fisheries, in Sultanate of Oman (Middle East), worked on various parameters of Weed Biology, different methods of weed control and effect of growth regulators in yield contributing parameters.

• Weed Biology and control: Designed and implemented several research projects including a survey on types, intensity, and distribution of various weed species in agricultural crops.

• Developed the local weeds herbarium for common people/farmers for identification purposes, which helped them in selection of specific weedicide to control.

• Research trials: The herbicidal control of weeds in cereals, vegetable and fruit crops.

• Seed Testing Programs: Conducted seed testing programs for germination of cereals, vegetables used in Oman.

RESEARCH AND TRAINING
