•Recommended an alternative slope stabilization method on the I-295/I-64 flyover project which resulted in a savings of over $350,000.
•Directed the Residency Environmental Specialist Program. Hired five employees and defined goals and responsibilities of the positions. Established and conducted training and developed the Residency Specialist Procedure Guide.

Formulated and deliver the Erosion and Sediment Control Contractor Certification (ESCCC) program for land disturbing contractors. Program includes: a five part presentation, a manual for program participants, and a 100 question exam database. Developed a written exam that is proctored at the conclusion of the course. Participants must pass the exam prior to performing land disturbing activities within Virginia Department of Transportation right-of-way.
Training is presented to an average of 550 people per year throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Exam passing rate for first time class participants is 88%.
