• Reduced USDA non-compliance issues in the raw and RTE area by 75%. This was accomplished by evaluating the process in place and training the employees in the proper process and steps to take to keep the process in control.
• Increased yields by 10% while cooking beef products by monitoring the cooking temperature and reducing the temperature to an acceptable level.

Managed 3 packaging supervisors and over 180 hourly employees which consisted of over 50% temporary employees. Oversaw Inventory received from a 3rd Party Logistics Company.
• Managed the activities of assigned supervisors to meet the daily production goals while reducing labor hours and scrap and increase overall productivity. Monitored, tracked, and recorded daily metrics, (KPI) labor, waste, yields and efficiencies. Used collected data to determine the root cause of not meeting the production goals.

Assisted in managing 2 process supervisors, 4 packaging supervisors and over 280 hourly employees, while also managing assigned lines which consisted of 39 packaging machines.
• Managed the activities of assigned packaging lines to meet the daily production goals while reducing labor hours and scrap and increasing production. Responsible for reporting daily labor cost to the plant manager.
• Directly supervised three production lines that processed tender leaf products from raw product to the finished product, to include batching, washing, drying, weighing, bagging, packing and palletizing, using Ishida scales, Bosch, Hayssen and Ilapak vertical baggers. Also used ABC case erectors.
• Responsible for implementing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce downtime, increase production, and eliminate waste. Techniques used were TPS (Toyota Production System), root cause analysis, PIFS (problem identification follow up sheets), Kaizen Blitz, 7 Wastes, 5 whys, and technical training from specialists within the manufacturing community.
• Championed several projects which were beneficial in bringing the overall cost to less than .067 cents per pound (target being .083)

• Oversaw the night shift operation of a hot-fill production facility that manufactured a variety of non-carbonated beverages, sports drinks, and ice cream toppings for some of the top industries, such as Hershey, Nestle and Gatorade.
• Managed the entire process from ensuring correct formulation, batching, cooking, filling, labeling, packaging, maintenance and shipping to distribution center. Consisted of both automatic and manual batching. Used Pace unscrambler, Pace de-caser, Elmar filler, US filler, US bottler caper, Krones labeler, Hartness case packer and Little David box erector.
