CAREER DEVELOPMENT
02/10 – 11/11 Senior Mechanical Engineer – Aerojet Corporation, Sacramento, CA
I was assigned to a small group of engineers to design and analysis propulsion sub-
system equipment to be used for a new super-sonic cruise missile design. This includes
E/M packaging, metallic primary airframe structures, incorporating composite materials,
working with complex machined components and managing large assemblies through PDM
. Also, working with evaluating various equipment configurations, cost and weight reduction,
interfacing with vendors, creating presentations and conduct design reviews. All is being
performed on a SIEMENS NX6 CAD/CAE system.
08/08 - 02/10 Senior Design Engineer – General Dynamics Corporation, Westminster, MD
Assigned to the Environmental Controls department for the new Expeditionary Fighting
Vehicle (EFV). My responsibilities included designing and developing a quick disconnect,
replaceable auxiliary cooling system. The project included mounting pumps includes,
valves, sensors and tubing on a module pallet. All work was being performed on a
Pro/ENGINEER CAD/CAE system.
02/08 - 08/08 Senior Design Engineer – Paragon Space Development Corporation, Tucson, AZ
Responsibilities included designing and routing various tubing and ducting components
for the new generation Orion spacecraft. The systems involved environmental controls
and thermal dissipation. Also participated in feasibility studies, proposal development &
mentoring junior engineers. All work was being performed on a Solidworks
CAD/CAE system.

06/07 - 02/08 Design Engineer – Jacobs Engineering, Clear Lake, TX
Assigned to a small group of engineers to design and analysis the new Portable Life
Support System (PLSS). This system will be used to traverse Lunar and Martian surfaces.
Conceptual design includes feasibility studies and rapid prototypes for the thermal control
system of the new spacesuit development. This include machined stainless steel
housings, E/M packaging, electronic valves and routing cables. All work included
interfacing with NASA and maintaining specification requirements. All work was being
performed on a Pro/ENGINEER CAD/CAE system.
04/05 - 06/07 Aircraft Design Engineer – Honeywell Corporation, Tucson, AZ
Functions included the design and modification of aircraft cabin pressure control systems
Also, assigned to the KEI project to work on the thrust vector control EMAC systems.
Components comprise of pressure relief valves, E/M packaging for electronic controllers,
sensors, cables and printed circuit boards. Also sheet metal housings and aluminum
machined structures. All work was being performed on a Pro/ENGINEER CAD/CAE system.
11/02 -10/04 Structural & Payload Design Engineer – Northrop Grumman, San Diego, CA
Responsibilities included designing and routing hydraulic systems for the advanced
Global Hawk unmanned reconnaissance aircraft. Work entailed building installation
assemblies, choosing various hardware, making calculations & interfacing with primary
primary structure. Components include pumps, coolers, sensors and standoffs. All
work was being performed on a Pro/ENGINEER CAD/CAE system.
02/02 -11/02 Structural Engineer – United Defense, York, PA
Assigned to design and develop structural weldments for a new armament re-supply
module. Work involves using sheet metal, extrusions and plate steel. Also responsible
for reducing part count and simplifying manufacturability. All work was being performed
on a Unigraphics 2 CAD/CAE system & Pro/ENGINEER CAD/CAE system.
10/00 - 02/02 Mechanical Engineer – Novellus Systems Incorporated, Wilsonville, OR
Worked in a cross-functional team environment on Semi-Conductor capital equipment
design. Proposing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
This includes machine design & instrument controls. Particularly large frame assemblies
& robotic mechanisms. All work was performed on a Pro/ENGINEER CAD/CAE system.
01/99 – 09/00 Aerospace Engineer – Lockheed/Martin, Goodyear, AZ
Primary responsibilities included designing electronic chassis & wave-guides for
advanced radar systems. This work included incorporating printed circuit boards,
routing cables & machined chassis and sheet metal brackets. All work was being
performed on a Pro/ENGINEER CAD/CAE system.
5/96 - 12/98 Aircraft Engineer - Raytheon Corporation, Waco, TX
Designed environmental systems & structural modifications for executive aircraft
interiors. This entailed designing special housings & ducts, incorporating complex
surfaces. Also, developed early detection systems for a Boeing 747 - SP aircraft. All
work was performed on a Pro/ENGINEER CAD/CAE system.
