SanMar Corporation
Senior Shipping Clerk: I have the responsibility of processing nearly a 1000 orders daily by way of data keying in on our HAL Unix system; what’s being shipped, quantity, where it’s going and how it’s going to get there. I keep track of invoices, order numbers and tracking numbers via FED-EX, UPS, DHL and exedra. All of this is done with pin point accuracy with regard of package appearance in a set time schedule. My responsibilities also include training and directing everyone in the department.
Systems Technician: When a printer breaks down, if there is a bug in our HAL program, perhaps the time clock system goes down, or someone needing instruction on how to use some software like the MS Office suite, I’m the one that handles the situation or would find someone who can. My duties also include desktop publishing – like creating flyers for different events and designing the company newsletter.
Ad-Ex International (a Division of Compaq)
Configuration Specialist: When orders are sent out to the costumer, responsibilities include; installation of hardware & software (Windows 98, NT and 2000), configuring PC's, Servers and Workstations with the use of Norton Ghost to reformat SCSI drives to its original state. I ran diagnostics and performed overall maintenance to computer servers.
When shipments are returned, responsibilities include: de-configuration of computer components (Windows Servers) and keeping a valid log in our system of every return.
Diversev-Lever Chemical Corporation
Material Handler: Duties include operating a computer-controlled, chemical filling machines that regulates product fill to an exact target net quantity. My daily responsibility included handling and proper disposal of (up to 40,000 pounds) of hazardous chemicals (caustics, industrial bleaches and alkaline). In addition, I have been trained in the correct procedure of storage and shipping of these various materials through interpretation of each chemical materials safety data sheet (MSDS) and the proper use of a forklift to store and handle these materials.
Frisch's Commisarv
Bakery Department: Leading Bread Maker - Responsible for making, preparing, and baking bread dough for all 88 Frisch's restaurants. Duties require special blending of ingredients, timing and preparation, operation of mixers and bread dividing machines and baking.
Industrial Cleaner: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing food equipment for mass production. Duties include the use of a forklift, breaking down of food equipment, and use of industrial cleaning chemicals.
