I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field as well as bookkeeping and computer operation. I also have a working knowledge of most desktop and custom software. I am a fast learner and a team player. I work well with others but am also comfortable working with no supervision.

I performed customer service dealing with customers on a daily basis to organize, job cost, sell and arrange services for all sizes of functions. I also performed all bookkeeping and payroll tasks using Peachtree accounting software. I did the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial statement preparation and banking. I supervised 2-3 employees over the course of my job. In 2011 the owner of Chefgonmobil died and the business closed.

These three companies are computer service bureaus who cater specifically to the heavy trucking industry by supplying dealers with accounting, payroll, parts, service and body shop software, a competitor of ADP (Automatic Data Processing). I travelled throughout the US and Canada to install and train clients and their employees on accounting and payroll software. I also taught bookkeeping, specifically automotive bookkeeping as well. When not travelling, I performed customer service. Our clients would call us when they had problems or questions using our hardware or software and it was my job to answer their questions and put out fires using a dial-in procedure, if necessary. On average, I spent 80% of my time on the phone with customers and 20% on-site. I also wrote technical user manuals, tested new software and trained new employees. Three times a year the company held accounting and payroll classes in-house for our customers to send their employees to, I taught that also. Over the 20 years I was in this business, I supervised 2-3 other employees; I wasn’t a supervisor for the entire time, but approximately four years. I left each of those companies on good terms.

In 2005 the company allowed me to work from a home office in Medina Ohio. In 2008 the company decided to have all off-site employees in the Dallas office and I chose not to move back to Dallas.
