Objective: Geological Professional seeking a position in exploitation field.

Summary of Qualifications

• Acquired more than seven years of experience in heavy oil development

• Produced 3D Geological structural and stratigraphic model using Petrel

• Generated horizontal, SAGD, and vertical well drilling plans

• Managed large quantities of data (more than 350 wells in the same reservoir)

• Performed core analysis, well log analysis interpretation in clastic environments, facies identification

• Elaboration and analysis of different kinds of maps, geological reports, and continuous analysis of reservoir production

• Experienced working in the office as well as the drilling location

Work Experience

Modeling Geologist 2006 - 2007

Petróleos de Venezuela PDVSA; Maracaibo, Venezuela.

• Developed static models using Petrel for the Tia Juana field of heavy oil updating the structural and stratigraphic information in the area.

• Created new maps with the structural data reviewed from the project.

• Resolved the problem of lost oil production, through the updated data interpretation of the reservoirs.

• Produced reservoir characterization of mature Lagunillas Inferior heavy oil field and built static models using Irap-Roxar in order to review the stratigraphic data of the field.

• Performed core and log analysis interpretation and facies identification for reservoirs to check over the tops of the wells to start projects with updated data.

Development Geologist 2003 - 2006

Petróleos de Venezuela PDVSA; Maracaibo, Venezuela

• Generated horizontal, SAGD and vertical well drilling plans to extend the reserves of the reservoir and sustain the development of the fields.

• Advised on position of new drilling locations based on geological maps and existing wells.

• Used geological software applications like Landmark suite, Petrel, IrapRMS and Microstation to develop the search of new locations and update data from wells.

• Executed continuous analysis of reservoir production and worked in integrated teams to choose new locations.

• Gathered data and reported for exploration and development reservoir.

Operations Geologist 2001- 2003

Petróleos de Venezuela PDVSA; Lagunillas, Venezuela

• Supervised drilling sites, picked formation tops and the total depth based on stratigraphic and structural elements.

• Generated and analysed maps and reports.

• Selected wells for steam injection based on the stratigraphy and structural characteristics of the area to increase production in the field.

Geologist Engineer in Training 2000 - 2001

Petróleos de Venezuela PDVSA; Maracaibo, Venezuela

• Trained one year in the areas of drilling, production and reservoir engineering (with practices) to have an overview all the processes in the oil and gas world.
