The speciality of this project is it is a product development to be used by Business analysts who themselves can do a lot of customization. File processing life cycle is going to be customization. This objective is being achieved by using un-orthodox Informatica tools like B2B. MetLife Fidelity UDX project is an ETL Project. Fidelity is a third party organization through which MetLife sells some of its products. As a result, to move the data between Fidelity to MetLife (and vice versa) this project is implemented.
For this Informatica DT/DXX new tool is required. Everyday Fidelity will send some ACCORD XML files and the from the ACCORD XML files, some cobol copybook files need to be created. Informatica DT/DX is required to create the flat files. Apart from that some information need to be entered into the DB2 databases. It is completely new technology and it is Cognizant’s first of this kind project.

Scottish Water has many IT applications. All systems are integrated for data inter dependency . All systems transfer data via integration layer which is built using Informatica. Integration is very vital for Scottish water in meeting dead lines and achieving good KPI. Many day to day activity are dependant on continuous integration. All the interfaces need to be up and running all the time for all Scottish water internal and external operations.
As this is an integration project slippage or delay of one particular transaction from one system to another system delays the whole workflow and may warrant financial repercussions. This is why maintaining SLA for all calls were an absolute necessity.
Besides maintaining SLA communication had been an important part of this project where as continuous discussion with end user and business analyst is required in order to resolve the issues.

Water supply and sludge release control across Scotland is controlled by Scottish Water. Central Marketing authority is the regulatory body for water supply and sludge management. Because of modified guidelines issued by CMA Scottish water had to rebuilt a big part of it’s data integration set up.
