Maintenance Supervisor
Hired in Late Jan. 2011 to fill second shift Maintenance Supervisor position. Production start up has been delayed until first quarter of 2012. Assisting in PM sheet and programs for equipment as it arrives. Warranty contact for all equipment and building issues. I trained in Germany for all aspects of heat treatment of gears using several sources of energy. First gear box shipped in May 2012. Cut backs of orders have put an additional 100 new employees on hold.

Maintenance Supervisor Dec 2003-Jan.2011
Direct all maintenance and facility operations services at the Toccoa plant with the mission of total customer satisfaction through environment health and safety. Also responsible for meeting yearly maintenance profit plan targets, cost out and budgets. Ensure that maintenance objectives are met consistent with overall requirements. Plans and controls maintenance and EHS processes through a full functional Maintenance staff and directly supervised 6-8 maintenance personnel. Oversee the operation of our Waste Water Treatment facility. Responsibilities include monthly reporting to the City of Toccoa and leading audits. Oversee City and State Hazardous Waste requirements and disposal shipments. Conduct Hazardous Waste, LOTO and various other EHS training throughout the facility.
• Set overall facility and maintenance policies and procedures to ensure effective and safe manufacturing operations as well as protection of the environment, employee health and safety.
• Member and participant of the Safety Committee to eliminate safety and security risk for the Toccoa site.
• Directed and lead incident investigations to determine root cause and corrective action
• Assisted with the implementation of the site Near Miss Program to enhance our ability to become more proactive and raise our level of prevention.
• Filled EHS Manager Duties during vacancies. Assume responsibility for Industry safe data inputs. Incident recording and investigating root cause and corrective action.
• Implemented Data Stream MP-2 to record and track breakdowns and improve overall OEE, safety work order and Tool and Die request.
• High performance range has been maintained since the implementation of the new reporting system in 2005.
• Served as Project Manager of the Toccoa Plant Security Project which included the implementation of employee, contractors and visitors badges. These badges were utilized as the benchmark for the Conveyance System Division.
• Served as project manager late 2008 to re-lamp entire facility with High bay T-5 and T-8 fluorescent fixture for energy reduction project. Project had a payback of 1.7 years with improved overall lighting and doubled candle power on manufacturing floor.
• Work with Lean Engineers to rearrange cellular work cells for better throughput.
Maintenance Technician and Team Lead 2001-2003
Responsible for the day to day operations of the maintenance department which include equipment wellness. Duties included scheduling the daily task and developing assignments and ensuring that OSHA requirements were followed. Supported and directed Lean projects which included equipment relocation and assume the responsibility of sub contractors for rigging and other outside source requirements. As Lead I also had performance review responsibilities for the department.

Member of the hourly maintenance team to ensure the wellness and upkeep of the site equipment and personnel safety. Responsibilities include equipment repair and performing preventive maintenance. Participated in team meeting and served on special projects teams.
