PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Acertech, West Liberty, Kentucky 08/2009 – 11/2009
CAD Designer
A temporary position updating 3D assembly models, creating 2D detail and assembly drawings with Bom’s for a 13,000 volt power distribution system used on off-shore oil rigs using Solidworks 2009 and 2010 along with Solidworks Enterprise PDM database software.
Chrysler LLC, Detroit, Michigan 03/2000 – 01/2009
CAD Designer
Created 3D design and release 2D and 3D data for 3.7L, 4.7L, 5.7L Hemi, 5.7L Hemi Hybrid, diesel engine components including aluminum intake manifolds, throttle bodies and front covers, oil pans, camshafts, brackets both cast and sheet metal stampings, EGR valves, fuel and emissions tube and hose assy’s, plastic air induction parts and aesthetic sound covers using CATIA V5 and V4 software. Updated drawing through the engineering change release procedure. Performed static and dynamic clearance checks utilizing Chrysler created move macros. Operated and maintained models in the Enovia VPM database to Chrysler standards. Design checker part-time for engine group. Participated in Drafting Quality Team group in 2008 / 2009.
Key Accomplishment:
• Designer on project that developed Chrysler’s first assembled camshaft for the 4.7L engine which was later benchmarked by other automotive companies.
• 2 letters of recognition for completing an emergency redesign of an engine cover without delaying production startup due to last mi ute chassis changes.
