FRENCH TEACHER
Miami/Dade County Public Schools - Miami Beach, FL (2007 to Present)
Effectively teach beginning and advanced French classes (AP syllabus, College Board Authorized) for North Miami Beach Senior High School. This entails all aspects of developing and preparing curriculum, as well as evaluating and grading assignments, tests and other student papers. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions, working closely with students to maximize learning potential. Successfully motivate students to meet and exceed classroom expectations. Accurately maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required paperwork. Also work closely with school administration and interact with parents.
ASSISTIVE EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
Lake County Public Schools - Tavares, FL (2003 to 2007)
Oversaw all facets of managing assistive technology operations for Lake Hills School. This consisted of utilizing educational and technological expertise to ensure utilization of the most beneficial technology equipment for both teachers and students with special needs. Entailed the complete evaluation, selection and implementation of various systems and processes, as well as maintenance and in-service of that technology.

Worked in a variety of professional capacities for this school district. This entailed all facets of teaching a variety of diverse students in a several different programs at the Whispering Pines Center in Miramar, Florida. Functioned as Computer Lab Teacher at a "lock facility" for adolescents referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice, providing instruction in most academic subjects and overseeing Star testing (K-12). Also taught mentally handicapped adults, utilizing teaching expertise to improve their concentration skills and maximize learning potential. In addition to teaching, held a position as Network & Technology Manager, which consisted of managing and maintaining a network of 800 computers spread throughout 17 labs and classrooms. Other positions included Behavior Specialist Coordinator for developmentally disabled adults, overseeing and implementing behavior modification plans and activities.
