Systems Specialist (1998 – 2008)

• Acted as a System Administrator and assisted in the implementation of the ViewStar system. Coded programs and scripts that automated the bill payment process for employee expenses and supplier bills. Automated process will save over $1/2 M per year due to increased efficiency and fewer errors.

• Subject Matter Expert on projects including introduction of new systems, new programs and enhancements of existing systems, ensuring product quality, problem resolution, successful implementation of key business functionality and client satisfaction 100% of the time. Provided technical support, and advice on means available to improve efficiency. Deployed changes to all production, QA and development environments.

• Maintained, modified and enhanced SQR programs for PeopleSoft (Account Payables, HR & Expense) applications and mainframe COBOL programs (DB2 and VSAM) for the FCS (Financial Common Services) application. Coded SQLs in QMF, PS_Query and Oracle to support analysis of data.

• Analyzed, coded and maintained mainframe COBOL programs (DB2, IMS and VSAM) for the Payroll CTLR (Cleansheet Time and Labor Reporting) application (for NYNEX and Bell Atlantic merger). This conversion resulted in a 50% reduction in operating and labor cost for the combined company.
