I was responsible for the procurement activities for a 400+employment plant that operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The plant is the second largest in the company. Daily procurement of machinery and spare parts for maintenance operations throughout the plant. Budgeted at 2.2 million per quarter. Negotiated overall procurement agreements for high value items
such as electronic parts and electric motors and stainless steel resulting in a 25% decrease in overall costs
for the fiscal year 07. Procure materials for the lab and various departments using
JDE Edwards Non Stock. Procure Raw Materials on a daily basis using JD Edwards stock materials procurement program. Participate in monthly purchasing agent conference calls for the improvement of Leprino foods procurement process. Review overdue purchase order reports on a daily basis. I have been on two corporate purchasing task forces for the procurement of corrugated packaging and raw materials via reverse auctions. Because of my extensive experience in using CMMS and JD Edwards MRP programs I was on the committee to integrate the SI program for the company. Led a purchasing EIT team
for the purpose of improving the cooperation between purchasing and stockroom.
