• Primary responsibilities included devising strategies and tactics to achieve and exceed goals per corporate POA through the use of data analysis, target potential, promotional activities (speaker programs, lunch and learn programs, teleconferences) and innovative time management all within the allocated budget assigned per my territory for the promotion and sales of pharmaceutical products. I sold to private practice physicians, hospitals, pharmacies and nursing homes. Additional responsibilities included: the facilitation of training classes in the corporate training facility for Valtrex and Avodart; assisting the district manager in evaluating and reinforcing representatives with territory difficulties; setting up product workshops for additional product training at various regional meetings; creating PowerPoint presentations to represent the district, and sometimes the region and facilitate training workshops for new hires in transition from the field back to corporate training. Products and their categories included: antibiotics ( Fortaz, Zinacef, Ceftin and Augmentin and Bactroban), anti-virals (Valtrex), benign prostatic hyperplasia (Avodart), overactive bladder (Vesicare), depression and smoking cessation (Wellbutrin), gastrointestinal disease (Zantac and Tritec), asthma and COPD (Advair, Serevent and Ventolin), cardiovascular disease (Coreg), erectile dysfunction (Levitra), and migraine (Imitrex, Amerge and Treximet). Formulations included oral tablets, sublingual’s and crushed pills for feeding tubes, nasal sprays, oral inhaler sprays and solutions, topical creams and ointments and injectables for IM and IV. Key prescriber targets included: primary care, dermatology, urology, cardiology, pediatrics, infectious disease, oncology, hematology, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, obstetrics/gynecology, neurology, and psychiatry as well as consulting in the nursing homes, out-patient hospital clinics, the ER and surgical wards.
