Technologist is responsible for the efficient operation and proper maintenance of the clinic’s

laboratory.

a. Ensure completeness of all needed laboratory reagents and supplies and proper maintenance of all

machine and equipment.

b. Ensure traceability of all specimen collected in the laboratory

c. Perform all required laboratory examinations

d. Prepare specimen for send-out and coordinates with the concerned laboratory for pick-up and

release of results

e. Ensures that tests are being done with utmost accuracy and efficiency

f. Strictly observes standard set on aseptic technique and universal precaution, as well as proper

disposal of infectious wastes and / or sharps

i. Actively participates in the management of patient by coordinating with attending physicians on

significant finding

j. Coordinates with Administrative Assistant / Clinic Manager and QA Head regarding government

requirements such as licenses and special staff training

k. Secure consent for special test needed or as required by law, e.g. HIV / Drug Test

l. Attends regular staff meetings

m. Participates in scheduled staff development programs

n. Submits required reports to Pathologist / Clinic Manager / Clinic Operations Director.
