• Went out into the field and marketed/sold state farm insurance.
Resource Technician 2010-present Johnson City, TN
• Oversees the transfers of patients from different facilities to Mountain States Health Alliance facilities. These Md Link transfer are high priority and are in times extremely stressful. I am responsible for keeping track of several of these at a time, conferencing physicians, and conferencing nursing staff with one another.
• Able to think quickly in many situations and to maintain composure over the phone with challenging physicians.
• I had to abide by the HIPPA laws and keep patients personal information confidential.
• This position was a promotional position that I received due to high qualifications and it also requires me to be able to do all the skills below as well as the ones mentioned above.
Communication Specialist 2007-present Johnson City, TN
• Front ended Ask-A-Nurse calls and took primary information before transferring the caller to a nurse.
• Maintained composure with demanding callers and remained polite through-out the call.
• Answered calls from MSHA facilities called Condition H where patients could call in and voice their concern about the care they were receiving. These calls took much patients and compassion.
• Scheduled people for classes and appointments that MSHA offered. Along with this I was one of two people who had access to creating classes and appointments and loading them into our computer system for other employees to use. This took great skill, organization, and patients. With this I would receive up to 20 emails daily about current class and new classes needing to be entered into our computer system.
