I am currently seeking a position within the hospitality industry; my strengths are marketing, food & beverage, front of house, guest liaison, event management and banqueting. POD is a custom-built, award-winning boutique hotel overlooking beautiful Camps Bay in Cape Town. I was involved with the planning and build-out of the hotel and managed POD from concept to completion sourcing décor, suppliers, hiring and training staff. I was responsible for all aspects of running the hotel including front of house, marketing and travel conventions, bar, restaurant with menu creation, floral and decor, housekeeping, security, supplier management, ordering and all staff management. Other responsibilities included event management, conferences and exclusive cocktail or dinner parties. Our clientele was mainly international guests and film crews on location in South Africa.

In 2006 I opened my own business a luxury guest villa, the Bay Breeze Guesthouse in the resort village of Llandudno. I project-managed the custom construction and build-out of the guesthouse, including finishes, décor, business plan, marketing strategy and website. Bay Breeze ran at near-full capacity year round, hosting events and film crews.

At Cosmo I was responsible for design and product development of ladies and girls’ footwear, presenting and selling to all major chain stores in South Africa, Africa and the Middle East.
As part of my position I attended international trade fairs in the USA and Europe, sourcing product in top fashion cities worldwide with regular trips to China to develop and oversee production.
The ranges were extremely successful and Cosmo became the top supplier to the leading chain stores.
