Work Experience:
December 2006 to Present, I started a Home Business, where I operated my own web site and marketed some affiliate sites. It is a work in progress, I still have a lot to learn about making money on the internet and not getting scammed, which is how I spent my first year. Now I want to work for other Businesses from home, it's safer.
September 9, 2005 to August 6, 2006, Receptionist (part time), RG Realty Group, Homewood, IL.
I answered the phones, we had a 5 line system. I mailed out foreclosure letters for the Broker, while learning how to process files for clients who were buying homes for the other agents. Talked to Lawyers and clients to get information for their files. It was a great learning experience.
April 13, 1998 to December 29, 2006, Salon and Day Spa Manager, P.E. Executive Salon & Spa, Dolton, IL.
I managed 11 stylist, 4 shampoo assistants, 3 spa personnel. My main purpose was being in charge of customer service, making sure the Salon and Spa ran smoothly, checking out the clients and closing out at the end of the day report. I also interviewed potential staff and hired who was capable of doing a great job. Booking appointments and confirming the appointments for the next day for the stylist.
We were known as the Upscale Salon in the South Suburbs. While I was there our Salon was in a movie, we were in magazines as being the Upscale Salon and Mazani's CEO from France came to the Salon, he met the staff and I took them all on a tour of the Salon.
The owner didn't pay the taxes and the business was taken from him, so we all had to find other places to work.
March 1, 1992 to December 18, 1997, Admission Director, Alden Heather Nursing Center, Harvey, IL.
My duties were to get families to bring their loved ones to our facility. I would market to Hospitals visit Senior Centers, go to Health Fairs and Expos. When a resident went to the hospital I would visit them and let them know they were missed and tried to cheer them up. I felt a strong need to go to some of the residents funerals. To me the Seniors were so Loving, like your Grandparents and I wanted their families to know I cared and the facility cared. Attented monthly meeting at some of the other Facilities the Company owned.
It was a very rewarding position, working with the Seniors.
I have over 20 years of Customer Service experience from all of my jobs. I want people to treat the way I want to be treated when I spend my money.
