Key Experience

• As founder of Kids Fit Fest in Atlanta, developed and led fitness programs for churches, schools, camps, groups and individuals over a two county area. Worked with schools to incorporate fitness/wellness programs into school activities and programs. Promoted fitness concepts to community kids and parents through special “Kids Fit Fest” outdoor and indoor events. • Developed and branded a new food service and dining concept for Sodexo/GA Tech Catering. Working with vendor groups, GA Tech departmental leaders, food service staff, marketing representatives and customers, led program development and implementation of this more updated and appealing offering. Assessed program effectiveness through a variety of means including surveys, key statistics measurement, comparison against best practice information, and focus groups.

• Successfully directed membership drive initiatives (achieved all quarterly targets), including new membership programs, special events, golf and tennis tournaments, and smaller venue prospective-member functions. Promoted and planned events for large groups including weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, non profit fundraising events, silent auctions, corporate and industry meetings, as well as other community functions. Directed kitchen staff, service staff, and club managers to ensure the delivery of a 5-star event experience to our guests. Hired, trained and mentored departmental employees. Managed program budgets and ongoing expenditure levels.

• Developed and implemented catering and food service for new high-end Atlanta special event facility. Designed menus, worked with chefs and food services staff to ensure customer experience, food quality and facility profitability targets were achieved in the first two years of operations. Identified appropriate vendors, negotiated terms and solidified working relationships so that the “Villa Christina Vision” would be consistently realized for our clients. Events that were involved included corporate meetings for upwards of 500 guests, smaller business meetings in break out rooms for 50-75 guests, outdoor and indoor weddings and receptions for up to 300 guests, rehearsal dinners and social gatherings. Participated and planned onsite and offsite bridal tradeshows with participation over one thousand guests.
