Recruited as a fulltime internal safety management consultant dedicated to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s workforce.
Key Results:
Developed the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board’s (PLCB) safety division overseeing the safety of 4,500 employees. Structured and implemented programs and policies in the areas of safety training, safety committee organization, back injury prevention, and new-employee orientation.
Fostered a continuing dialogue between the Workers’ Compensation and Safety divisions of the PLCB to promote enhanced communication between the critical HR functions for accident investigation.
Piloted a safety project to address the increasing number of construction workers injuries and provided recommendations for proper PPE usage, effectively stopping the increase within 2 months.
Achieved compliant ratings for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry’s (L&I) Accident and Illness Prevention Program.
