Summary of qualifications As an office manager/administrative assistant my duties have included: bookkeeping, purchasing, customer service, payroll preparation, delegating daily tasks, hiring and training new employees, sales, scheduling appointments and deliveries, decision making in emergency situations and taking on extra responsibilities in constantly short handed office environments
Work experience • Over the course of the last 30 years I have always worked in a position that required strong customer service skills. My most recent position chiefly utilized my bookkeeping and purchasing experience. Responsibilities include researching and ordering material from a myriad of suppliers to meet customers’ needs for printed and embroidered products, keeping track of back orders and tracking shipments. I am also the liaison with the IT company and responsible for the daily tasks involving maintenance of the server and company email.
• I have a strong bookkeeping background with both computerized and manual bookkeeping. I have been responsible for data entry, invoicing, receivables, deposits, month and year end reports, collections and payroll and commissions to sales personnel
• As the office manager/sales person for a small furniture company, I performed the duties of a bookkeeper and was the sole in house sales person for new furniture, and custom upholstering along with scheduling appointments for personal shopping and deliveries, ordering new product and keeping track of store and warehouse inventory.
• I am experienced using and maintaining various pieces of office equipment including copier, fax machines, calculators and computers. I use excel and word on a daily basis and am proficient with Peachtree bookkeeping program.
Community activities I am a very outgoing person who is quick to learn and enjoys a challenge. I have always had excellent results researching an unusual problem and finding a solution. I am a hands on person who gets the job done.
Interests and activities I am an avid reader who likes to keep up with current events. My organizational skills have been called into play recently as I have moved into a new community and I am very involved in creating a social network with my neighbors. There have been some very successful activities I have played a part in orchestrating from game night and ladies tea to holiday parties. I am also an election official for my local township
