In addition to overseeing operation of the evening shift, my duties included staff management, training incoming bartenders, balancing cash receipts, inventory and booking entertainment. My duties required an ability to handle large groups of people during the dinner hour and heavy weekend crowds coming to McCloskey's to enjoy live music.
After receiving multiple certificates from The Wine School of Philadelphia, I developed a wine list for our menu showcasing "Wines of the Week" featuring wines from all over the world. I also developed a beer list of rotating taps, the first restaurant/bar to do so on the Main Line, which included Belgian Beers, Craft Beers, and Microbrews.
