ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Graduate Project: Design & Cost Estimation of a Natural Gas Hydrate Pellet Plant
Studied conventional natural gas transportation technologies, designed a methane gas hydrate pellet plant (5ton/day capacity), carried out the cost calculations for the plant, and suggested the transportation and application process. Used conversion reactor for the production of methane gas hydrates and simulated the total plant using HYSYS. This novel technology is suitable to adopt for the small associated gas fields which are not focused because of practical and economic reasons.
Design & Economic Study of Turbo-Expander Plant using HYSYS
Designed and simulated a turbo-expander plant, performed cost estimation using CAPCOST, conducted a feasibility study, and determined optimum efficiency of plant design.
Design of a Natural Gas Processing Unit Using HYSYS & Aspen Plus
Simulated the Separator, Treating, Sweetening Unit, and Dehydration Unit using HYSYS in order to design a Natural Gas Processing Unit. Compared the results with Aspen Plus and estimated the cost of the plant using CAPCOST.
Pipeline Design Project
Designed a pipeline from Farmington, NM to Seattle, WA. Calculated the operating pressures and compression stations. Cost of the design was done by cap cost.
Undergraduate Project
Produced an eco-friendly lubricant from castor/mustard oil and carried out the cost analysis and property evaluation for the lubricant. Properties were superior compared to conventional lubricants.
