Redesign, build, and test a mining car strut in collaboration with LORD Corporation that uses some type of damping medium to reduce vibration, meeting customer specifications and constraints while maintaining the same dimensions as the current one.

• Wind Turbine Design Spring 2011

Designed a vertical axis electricity-generating wind turbine (gearing, vertical shaft, brake system, bearings, locking mechanism, blades and supporting structure) and analysis on the outputs.

• Irrigation System Design Fluid Analysis Fall 2010

Designed a low pressure manually operated irrigation system to irrigate a garden while providing the analysis of the flow rate and pressure drop.

• Play Pump Structure Design Spring 2010

Designed a lightweight and inexpensive “Play Pump” (play ground equipment) for a nonprofit organization (Engineers Without Border) to pump water into a reservoir while children work the pump. Provided a complete Stress analysis of the system.
