1. Provided financial vision and leadership to $80M world class tire cord manufacturing plant with overall responsibility for financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting; along with budgets, strategic plans, and cost control reports. Brought on to convert reporting for facility from cost center to a full-fledged profit center.
2. Served as financial business partner in increasing location profit from $1.9M to over $7.0M.
3. Spearheaded a strategic cost reduction plan; personally accounted for $700K of a $1.5M corporate goal (2006).
4. Enabled local salaried staff managers to receive a higher level annual bonus. Accomplished this through persistent communication with corporate finance staff concerning a $400K social cost overcharge to the representative location that resulted in this year-end correction.
5. Led the implementation of SAP ERP software meeting aggressive corporate deadlines.
6. Coordinated development of sales/costs of sales control report with outside computer programmer. The report was accessible on demand, and remains an essential management tool for checking customer billing, pricing, costing, and quantity data during the month, saving countless hours in investigative work during closing.
7. Prepared duty drawback claim reporting involving imported raw material by interacting with outside specialist including contractual qualification of new material with US Customs, resulting in $400K refund in 2007.
