Design and develop farmer training materials in areas of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP), Price Risk Mitigation (PRM) and Marketing Logistics.
Linking farmers to both input and output markets, and facilitate marketing information dissemination.
Facilitating training of farmers using a ToT model that involves extension staff from Agribusiness Partners, Producer Organizations, Farmers and Ministry of Agriculture Extension Officers.

Achievements: Facilitated a market linkage of over 6,000 small holder farmers to mainstream markets (Pick n Pay, Melisa and Spar supermarkets) through two social enterprises in Mongu by signing a contract to supply 12Mt of rice per month. I participated in the development of Zambia National Rice Development Strategy. I also developed and nurtured a partnership with Celim Zambia (an Italian NGO) around bio-fuel production which resulted in creating a market for farmers growing Jatropha and training of 140 producers in soap making and extraction of oil. This effort resulted in establishment of five cottage industries/enterprises while Celim established a factory that was making biodiesel. Successfully facilitated finance brokering for Dioces of Mongu Development Centre where the enterprise was funded to the tune of US$250,000 by USADF for rice business recapitalization.
Aug 2007 – Dec 2009: Agribusiness Officer, NIRAS Scanagri Zambia Limited, Lusaka-Zambia.
NIRAS Zambia is a subsidiary of NIRAS Finland a consulting consortium involved in rural development, agriculture, engineering, economic development and construction which was contracted to run a programme (PLARD) that was jointly funded by the governments of Finland and Zambia.
Responsibilities:
Implementing activities related to agribusiness and rural development, and identifying alternative livelihoods through community participatory approaches.
Developing capacities of local agribusiness enterprises, producer organizations and processors.
Capacity building of beneficiaries through trainings in business management and entrepreneurship skills and help link the agribusiness enterprises and processors to primary producers, and input suppliers.

CropChem is a private company involved in provision of agricultural solutions to commercial, emergent and smallholder farmers through offering of extension services, sale of agricultural inputs such as animal health products, agricultural chemicals (herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, fumigants and adjuvants), public health and agricultural equipment.

Consolidated Farming Limited is a Zambian company (Sable Group of companies) with the headquarters in Lusaka. It is involved in production of white spoon sugar through growing of sugarcane and processing it into white spoon sugar as the primary product.
Responsibilities:
Establishment of sugarcane fields.
Management of sugarcane fields from land preparation, planting, fertilizer application, irrigation, weed control, up to the point of harvesting.
Recruitment and training/coaching of general workers in collaboration with the HR department.
Preparation of the payroll for the 100 workers under my section.

Achievements: Planted and managed a 500ha farm of sugarcane and was voted as having planted a field that had excellent germination on the Estate.

August 2002 – Oct. 2002: Part time Lecturer at International Institute of Management Studies, Lusaka. Responsible for lecturing to agriculture diploma students, preparing assessment tests and writing progress reports to the Principal on the students’ progressions.
Nov. 1999 – Aug. 2000: Field Supervisor, attached at Mpongwe Development Company. Supervising workers in the fields; I successively coordinated the blending of fertilizers for 1999/2000 season for the whole estate. Cost reviewing using Sun System of costs for the five farms on the estate. This position was reporting to the Estate Manager through the respective Farm Managers of the five farms on the estate.
May 1999 – Sept. 1999: Crop Supervisor with York farms, Lusaka. Contracted to determine the crop water requirement (CWR) and re-scheduling of irrigation interval for green beans and baby-corn on the farm. This post was reporting to the Production and Technical Manager.
