AS the first member of LGE’s Procurement Leadership/Early Identification Program, I was exposed to a wide range of procurement and sourcing activities and was assigned with great responsibilities.
Instrumental in developing China sourcing strategies (25% of total LGE spend). Implemented commodity councils that led to $17M immediate saving. Developed new suppliers through benchmarking projects.
Developed international sourcing strategies (55% of total LGE spend) that cover direct material, technology development/acquisition and capital equipment.

Hosted LG Electronics 2010 Global Supplier’s Day, attended by all key global suppliers and senior executives (743 executives across the globe). Executed other procurement events such as sourcing fairs.
