Field Engineer and Operations Manager
Responsible for the training and supervision of 7 electric motor technicians to complete and perform repair and all the various jobs assigned.
Estimating and scheduling all electric motor repairs and the equipment attached, such as pumps and gear drives.
Inspect and test equipment in order to locate damage or worn part, diagnose malfunctions and read work orders or schematic drawings to determine required repairs.
Arranging all aspect of the repair, including material purchasing from suppliers and, equipment delivery and tools to complete repair to customer satisfaction.
Disassemble defective electric motor equipment, centrifugal and submersible pumps, gear drive and generators so that repairs can be made.
Reface, ream, and polish commutator and machine parts to specified tolerances, using machine
tools, also replace centrifugal and submersible pumps mechanical seals, gaskets, impellers and power cords
Replace defective parts, such as mechanical seals, bearings, gaskets, coil leads, carbon brushes, and wires, using all necessary equipment and power tools.
Weld, braze, solder electrical connections or lubricate moving parts as necessary to complete repairs.
Rewind coils on cores in slots, or make replacement coils, using coil-winding machines.
Adjust working parts, such as fan belts, contacts, and springs, using hand tools and gauges.
Reassemble repaired electric motors to specified requirements and ratings
Maintain stock inventory of electric parts to support emergency calls to troubleshoot and repair services.
Measure velocity, horsepower and revolution per minute (rpm), amperage, circuitry, and voltage of units to diagnose problems.
Inspect electrical connections, wiring, relays, charging resistance boxes, and storage batteries following wiring diagrams.
