I work as a sports editor for two weekly newspapers, while still writing and shooting my own photography for a daily newspaper. I was responsible for the coverage of two high schools and complying nightly stories, as well as pagination of two weekly newspapers. I also filled in when necessary on the daily pagination desk and shooting photographs for the news and sports department.

I was responsible for designing two to three sports pages a night, while still writing and taking pictures covering high school sports in Western Nebraska. After a year, I took over the job of assigning the part-time writers to their nightly assignments.
