My current profile Involves innovating and driving “risk infrastructure” based projects. The retail lending portfolio of the institution is managed by various credit systems, which includes credit acquiring systems, decision engines and account management applications. My team is responsible for regional designing, implementation and management of the technologies involved. Key responsibilities includes:
• Implementation and monitoring of credit risk policies, processes and procedures across the region.
• Contribute to the development of group let data/monitoring/decisioning and front-end CRMS.
• Implement Group Systems and upgrades.
• Design and deploy new technical infrastructure to cater to new credit systems.
• Creating functional / technical specific documentation and user manuals.
• Adhere to compliance and audit requirements on change control, access control and group guidelines.
• Present upgrades and group standard systems to various businesses within the organization and the region, with their relevant value-to-business.

• AAPS4: Regional rollout of a unified front-end data entry and process flow control system, which, interfaced with fraud and strategy decision engines, would eventually comply with BASEL requirements of automated application scoring, additionally catering to bank’s requirement of unified data integrity and standardized policy governance across the region.

Involvement : - Introduction of the system to various sites in the Middle East Region
- Streamlining the consumer credit and business process flows, as per agreed design flow with the stakeholders
- Manage pre-release health and sanity checks, post various testing cycles

• Instinct: Designing and logical scripting of the group’s fraud detection engine, that detects suspicious applicants, based on historic data of customers in the bank and data received from various fraud agencies. Fraud savings have exceeded US$60m regionally, since its implementation in 2007. Work included:
- Necessary server hardware and software selection and deployment
- Assisting the core system interface build, in order to cater to extended business needs
- Testing the system-interconnectivity and compatibility with bank’s core systems in vigorous testing cycles.
- Testing algorithms scripted in the system for efficiency and logical acceptability
- Creating business and functional specifications, in order to manage change and communications to business heads
- Creation of user manuals and training champions across the region on the usage of the application

• Decision Systems: Scripting of keys required to empower TRIAD® based scorecards, and account management tool used by the group. This would eventually empower management decision engines and trees with vital customer behaviour traits, which would eventually be used to make credit decisions on their facilities.
