Mechanical & E/M Assembly

Assembly and subassembly of optical equipment, main used in the military and medical device industries. Daily use of interferometer (Zygo) machinery for Precision Positioning of lasers. Responsible for the inspection of mirrors and optical lenses to determine smoothness and roughness, light trajectory, light bounce back and laser alignment.

Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations including rework and quality testing related to production of part, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.

Assisted in developing methods and procedures for M2 line to control and modify the manufacturing process.

Responsible to inspection in/out coming mirrors for all production line. Documenting all action taken pre/post inspection.

Using extreme accuracy to close tolerances accordance to procedure. Assemble/Disassemble Thermal recorders for assembly levels 1, 2 and 3.

Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments and/or equipment. Using the Windows NT, Repeatability and linearity programs.

Coil winding for galvos, stators etc. Knowledge in all production subassemblies and final assemblies before potting. Soldering wirer/ components on variety of assemblies. Test for HI-POT and resistance.

E/M Assembler

Duties were to prepare/test verification/calibration traps for GE Itemizer 3 units.
