To whom it may Concern,
I have spent the vast majority of my career working for Nestle Purina Pet Care Company in Weirton, West Virginia. I started as a laborer and was quickly promoted to a mechanic/operator. Over the years I systematically trained to become qualified as a mechanic/operator on all of the production equipment in the factory. I was promoted to the position of lead man for the critical department of the factory and spent 5 years there. In this role I was responsible for coordinating all maintenance activities including consequence driven and preventative maintenance. I requisitioned all parts and services to ensure prompt completion of maintenance projects. I identified key critical components and secured Engineer Managers approval to purchase, thus severely decreasing downtime. This lead to a promotion to the production supervisor position I’ve held for the last 6 years. I accepted responsibility for and streamlined the work order procedure. I have a diverse background including substantial strength in parts inventory. I have experience troubleshooting various manufacturing systems including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic. I have developed PM schedules, interacted with vendors in procuring parts and services. I also possess a significant background in quality control, SOP development and safety; including Behavioral Based Safety, Hot Work permits, Confined Space Entry permits, OSHA regulations, Job Hazard Assessments, Lockout/Tagout’s. I’m confident that the knowledge and skills that I’ve acquired over the years can readily be transferred to a maintenance supervisor/manager role.
Thank you for your consideration
