PRODUCTION MANAGER

Manufacturing / Assembly / Maintenance / New Product / SPC / Cost & Waste Control / JIT Training / Lean / Process Improvement / Scheduling / Design Engineering / Capital Equipment

As an advanced manufacturing professional, I excel at developing, implementing and managing all processes to ensure continuous, high value production. I improve production processes, reduce scrap and in general do more with less. My expertise in problem solving and productivity improvements in new and existing plants eliminates wasted production time and sets the stage for Lean manufacturing to thrive. I am known for…

 Managing high-volume, high-technology manufacturing processes

 Improving production quality through strong process improvement techniques

 Creating high quality, low cost assembly processes

 Delivering world-class manufacturing throughput improvements

 Being a strong team contributor with unique self-directed abilities

My AS degree in Fluid Power is from Gateway Technical Institute. Being a detail oriented manager, with an exceptional eye for detail, I lead with a hands-on approach. My ability to communicate and think outside the box enables me to get the job done and deliver superior results. I successfully train diverse work groups.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Eliminated throughput roadblock. New equipment continually caused out-of-spec product. Assessed failure and determined fiber optic and switch failures were to blame. Secured low cost part replacements and established new machine maintenance routines. Retrofit brought production to 100% of goal.

Reduced machine maintenance downtime. Production downtime throttled productivity. Evaluated alternative component replacement time. Implemented simple equipment alteration that enabled fast changeover. Reduced downtime from 48 hours to one hour, a savings of $46K. Increased uptime and improved productivity.

Designed new production process. Material delivery was continually in wrong containers. Caused massive scheduling problems. Established new material delivery process. Altered equipment and standardized systems. Immediately provided a fast and easy method of JIT material processing with zero safety concerns.

Vaporized scrap problem. Assembly of parts had 20% scrap rate. Evaluated parts from two production areas and found pilot holes were correct, but tap was out of line. Designed, implemented and managed new gage standard. New process eliminated scrap and saved company over $460K annually.
