LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
• 5th Company Executive Officer: Selected to lead a company of 200 cadets with a staff of 15 fellow Cadet Officers and Squad Leaders and responsible for assisting in the daily accountability of the company. Also responsible for organizing weekly staff meetings, overseeing daily operations of the company, overseeing the maintenance of the dormitory complex, and coordinating the orientation of incoming cadets into the Academy.
• Assistant Disciplinary Officer: Selected as one of ten Squad Leaders to represent 5th Company within the Regiment of Cadets. In charge of monitoring demerits and extra duty hours awarded to cadets within the company, coordinating extra duty efforts and disciplinary review boards, and upholding the disciplinary standards and traditions of the Academy.
• Shanghai Maritime University Exchange Program: Acted as a cadet liaison between the Commandant of Cadets and the cadets involved with the Shanghai Maritime University Exchange Program. Responsible for coordinating weekly meetings, organizing activities for program participants, and assisting in the acclimation of exchange students to the Academy.
• Panama Maritime Academy Exchange Program: Selected as one of ten cadets to represent Massachusetts Maritime Academy at the Panama Maritime Academy and work with the Panama Canal Authority. Responsible for training in traffic control, dredging operations, crane operations, and monitoring vessels transiting the Panama Canal.
• Massachusetts Maritime Academy Sea Term 2008: Trained as a Deck Officer and Marine Engineer aboard USTS Kennedy with ports of call in Panama City, Panama; Golfito, Costa Rica; and Oranjestad, Aruba.
