Developed security department in initial phase (“ground – up” / construction and management design). Managed security / parking control for the successful inaugural season of a family oriented theme park with over 1 million visitors passing through its gates.
NEW ORLEANS POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Supervise staff and recruit classes in all aspects of training for the New Orleans Police Department, including the training of outside agencies for Louisiana Police Officers Standardize Training (POST), as well as continued “In-Service” training for veteran police officers. POST Certified Law Enforcement Instructor for the State of Louisiana . Schedule instruction, administer tests, assist in preparing budgets, etc.
1989 - 1991 ASSISTANT TO THE CHIEF OF DETECTIVES (Deputy Chief)
Supervise daily administrative functions of Detective Bureau, which includes the following divisions: Crimes Against Persons, Robbery, Homicide, Property Crimes, Forgery, Burglary, Auto Theft, Narcotics Division, Vice and Juvenile. Manage funding for all sections of bureau, as well as handling supplies, budgeting, etc. Coordinator of CrimeStoppers. Maintain liaison with Chamber of Commerce and outside law enforcement agencies.
1988 COMMANDER, FORGERY DIVISION
Supervised a staff of officers in dealing with forgeries, stolen credit cards, economic crimes, etc. Maintained liaison with banks and department stores.
1986 - 1987 COMMANDER, BOURBON STREET PROMENADE
Supervised a platoon of officers. Worked in the French Quarter assisting residents and tourists with an array of situations.
1979 - 1985 ASSISTANT COMMANDER – THIRD DISTRICT STREET CRIMES UNIT
Supervised a unit of officers dealing in proactive and reactive patrol of street crimes. Coordinated efforts with other N.O.P.D. units and outside agencies.
1977 - 1978 DETECTIVE – RESEARCH AND PLANNING DIVISION
Developed and analyzed statistical data through crime profiles and computers to place police in targeted high crime areas. Coordinated Mardi Gras manpower allocation and special events. Developed annual N.O.P.D. report to City Hall.

OTHER: Throughout my career with NOPD I have worked many special assignments and have been called upon by the Chief of Police to handle highly sensitive matters.
I have received numerous commendations from the police department, Mayor's office and individual citizens. My work has involved me in various events ranging from presidential and papal visits, and security for visiting dignitaries/celebrities to Mardi Gras and the 1984 World's Fair. I worked annually with visiting Sugar Bowl officials since 1976.
Many cases I have made were on front page news of the local newspaper and headlined many television news stories.
I have had a good rapport with the various neighboring law enforcement agencies, F.B.I., Secret Service, Drug Enforcement Agency, Jefferson Parish Police, Louisiana State Police, Harbor Police and Superdome, etc.
