I began my career as a Healthy Lifestyle Wellness and Fitness personal coach with a born to it passion
for pure foods, fresh air, and physical activity. As the mother of nine children, my mother was completely
baffled when I, at the age of six, would make a face and express the “ick factor” when presented with
sugar laden pancakes or observing me dutifully mopping excess grease off a slice of pizza with a napkin
before I’d be willing to eat it. Thirteen years later, I was college bound where I earned my degree in
Dietetics from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. Frustrated by the lack of
opportunity to study beyond nutrition at Autonoma, I matriculated to San Francisco, California to pursue
my dream. Three years later, in 1995 I held a degree in Exercise & Sports Science, from the University of
San Francisco. Today I am NSCA Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and a C.H.E.K. Exercise and Lifestyle
Coach
.

My roots and beliefs tell me that I am to be of service to ALL people, both in my family and in my
community so they can experience a fullness of wellness through a health conscious lifestyle. Sixteen
years of experience have contributed to a depth and range of clinical insights that are the underpinning
of my confidence in my ability to work effectively with adults with special conditions, whether a
pregnancy, or with more catastrophic medical conditions such as Parkinson’s to help them achieve their
optimum health potential. The case histories I have personally managed 1 have honed my vision and
fueled my passion for my Lifestyle/Healthstyle Coaching work.
My personal goal is to extend myself to the countless men and women in my community struggling with
physical, emotional and psychological challenges that accompany difficult medical challenges through
United Way, Easter Seal Foundation, the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation and other community outreach
programs. My education towards becoming a Holistic Practitioner, with an emphasis in body centered
therapies continues. There’s an endless realm of possibilities in the universe of “holistic” practice.
Therefore, it’s unthinkable to me that I will ever stop learning additional therapies, because the whole
mind, body, soul connection is just that. It’s all interconnected. To date, I’ve developed an arsenal of
advanced exercise techniques, utilizing holistic modalities such as kinesiology and teaching them how to
implement and maintain healthful diet modifications. Through the deployment of a full being, fully
personalized lifestyle coaching program, I reach far beyond most of the programs that are currently
available. Working as a whole being coach with my clients, we reach success! Whether through an
organizational establishment or via in home personal training, I can offer clients the opportunity and
skills to triumph over the often brutal and humiliating manifestations of their disease and gain healthful
joy and control of their life again.
