Mechanical Design & Structural Analysis of CERAMIC OXYGEN GENERATOR (COG)
• Responsible for the 3D modeling of entire system using SOLIDWORKS.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of anode wire inside the ceramic tubes using COSMOSWORKS & study of stress and displacement results to find out the best wire material.
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) utilizing COSMOSFLOWORKS & ANSYS for the various designs consisting of different arrangement of input holes to figure out best air flow distribution and temperature & pressure profiles inside the furnace.
• Study and analysis of cost reduction suggestions from Philips (Nederland) and Invetech (Australia).
• Consideration of cost reduction scope for air flow intake, oven material, air heating, module arrangement, storage of oxygen, expel of hot air, & check for feasibility of the same.
• Design of COG so as to fulfill Universal Laboratory ‘Stability Test’ criteria to avoid the tilting of equipment upon application of lateral force.
• 2D drawings of the every individual part of COG, subassemblies & assemblies with application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T) for the future manufacturing perspective.
2) MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LTD- ASSISTANT MANAGER, August 2008 to July 2010 .
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, Process Designing & Projects Department
• Responsible for BIW Process Design of Sports Utility Vehicles Scorpio, Bolero, Xylo and Sedan segment car Logan.
• Designing and Installation of Fixtures, Gauges, Spot Guns, Sealer Pumps, Sensors, FRP templates & all other facilities in vehicle body shops.
• Study of new product design from R&D and check for the design feasibility using software CATIA & AUTOCAD and production feasibility by performing analysis at shop floor.
• In charge of the Vendor Development & Tooling for production of various assemblies such as Dash Panel, Front Floor, Rear Floor, Fender, Tail Gate, Hood, Wheel Housing, Doors, etc.
• Champion of Process change and Product Deviation approvals for whole automotive plant.
SCORPIO-A Global Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Project
• Design, manufacturing and installation of various assembly fixtures such as Cant rail, a-pillar, front floor, wheel housing.
• Implementation of Zinc coated sheets panels for drip rail and a-pillar, which are prone to rust formation.
• Installation of Door Closure Fixtures in the body shop working in collaboration with COMAU.
• Successful introduction of Patvin Sealer Pumps at vendor end to avoid the rust & water percolation inside the vehicle
• Review of DFMEA’s & PFMEA’s for all the modifications with R&D and production personnel.
• Modification of all the Pallets and Trolleys in the body shop to avoid part damage during transportation.
LOGAN-Phase 1 Vehicle
• Manufacturing & Installation of FRP fixture for introduction of Spoiler fitment on deck lid which resulted in a cost saving of 10 Million INR.
• Implementation of new process for painting of spare parts & modification of Layout in AutoCAD.
• Conceptualization of the lifting mechanism for the cages avoiding damage of the parts & assemblies while transfer of cage from trolley to storage area.
Engineering Change Notes (ECN)
• Responsible for every ECN implementation from RENAULT, France for Logan model.
• Design & installation of facilities for various ECN’s such as HVAC mounting bracket fixture, tail gate reinforcement fixture, Single engine-gear box assembly trolley for all the variants in TCF, etc.
• Study of BIW line transfer for the 4 models from one location to other location.
Academic Projects:
• Installation and Analysis of Morse Test Rig: successfully built a set up Morse test which included major parts such as hydraulic dynamometer, gear box, clutch, Fiat engine etc and then calculated I.P, B.P, F.P, Fuel Consumption and various efficiencies of the four cylinder engine. Received the ‘Best Academic Project Award’ for the same.
• Execution of “Time Domain Simulation” to explore stability of Aircraft Wings and Inverted Pendulum.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of the cantilever beam to carry out ‘Topology Optimization’ for finding out the optimum shape of the structure with minimum Compliance & then execution of ‘Separable Monte Carlo Simulation’ to calculate Probability of Failure of cantilever beam.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of notched specimen in ABAQUS for CPE8, CPE8R, CPS8 & CPS8R elements.
• Supply Chain Management simulation project consisting of satisfying the future demands from different regions based on the past demand curve and then satisfying those demands by varying production and inventory levels to maximize the profit.
Extra-Curricular: Full Throttle Afterburn Competition, TECHFEST, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai
• Made two I.C. Engine Cars (Autonomous vehicle) to participate in TECHFEST 2007 and 2008 respectively- Asia’s biggest technical and robotics competition held by IIT Mumbai, representing my college.

• Stood in TOP 32 TEAMS among 205 GLOBAL TEAMS during 2008 participation.
