Manager of HR & Organizational Development - Algonquin, IL (April 2011 – November 2011)
• Reported to VP of Operations and was main OD/Generalist support for Vice President of Sales & Marketing and 25 sales and marketing professionals servicing over 400 accounts across the United States and Canada.
• Performed a needs assessment and streamlined the account coverage for 45 million dollar segment of the business covering over 400 accounts in order to maximize efficiencies of 25 person sales & marketing team.
• Wrote job descriptions for, recruited, selected, and developed/implemented training program for a new team of technically trained account specialists.
HR/OD Manager/Sales & Marketing Manager - Algonquin, IL (October 2006 – March 2011)
• Reported to VP of Operations and supported VP of Sales & Marketing in growing sales to $45 million annually through Sales & Marketing Management, HR Generalist and Organizational development support.
• Reorganized, restructured & staffed entire Sales/Marketing function of a $45 Million portion of the business whose sales had flattened and costs were beginning to balloon; analyzed every dollar spent and its impact and maximized annual sales while decreasing inefficiencies and costs.
• Performed a needs assessment and wrote job descriptions for, recruited, selected, developed and administered 2 month training program for 10 entry-level Product Specialists.
• Directed workflow for and managed 10 Product Specialists in day to day sales, training and technical support for 45 million dollar distribution channel.
• Trained 2,500 dealer telesales and field sales representatives all over the country on the intricacies of dental products of 3 product lines, including how to more effectively sell and up-sell them to end-users. (ongoing)

Human Resources Manager – Algonquin, IL (January 2004 – September 2006)
• Reported to Director of HR with dotted line to plant managers at five sites; largest of which is a 115 person highly skilled manufacturing facility. Supported in a generalist role with recruitment, training, safety, performance management, employee relations and compensation. These locations manufactured among other dental products; prophy paste, disinfectants, obturation units and approximately half of the disposable prophy angles consumed annually across the globe.
• Managed, budgeted, & coordinated $800,000 renovation of factory to increase morale and optimize workflow in main plant in Missouri.
• Directed the final shut-down of a $10 million division of the company formerly located in Colorado; Was in charge of everything from personnel issues such as severance and benefits, to liquidation of assets.
• Recruited, interviewed, selected and determined compensation for dozens of employees with skill-levels ranging from chemical operators and warehouse personnel to engineers to executive management. (ongoing)
• Worked with plant managers to implement annual wage adjustments for a 115 person plant.

Summer Associate; Total Compensation Department
• Reported up to Compensation Specialist at corporate headquarters with dotted line to 23 Distribution Centers (DC’s) across the country.
• Consolidated merit pay ranges of Target’s DC’s from 23 scales to 5 without decreasing the earning potential or wages of any team member. Presented project to management to garner support for the aforementioned policy changes.
• Researched and analyzed the relevant labor market of each DC location using Economic Research Institute data, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Watson-Wyatt and other wage surveys. Aided in the determination and implementation of annual raises for DC workers based on each DC’s recruitment and retention needs. Conducted preliminary research on plan to condense merit ranges of all Target Corp locations.
