Duties: Generation and implementation of work instruction
documents designed to translate the Space Shuttle Solid
Rocket Booster design drawings and specifications into
refurbishment, assembly and test procedures. Oversee the
installation of the avionics equipment for: booster
ignition, ascent control rate gyros, C-band telemetry
system, booster separation timing and pyrotechnic
initiation, recovery sequencing, Range Safety flight
termination system and all interconnecting electrical
harness cabling fabrication, installation and final mate.
This effort includes the generation, validation and
utilization of application software for performance of both
flight hardware and completed assembly acceptance test
procedures. This effort includes providing technical
support to Test Support and Forward/Aft Assembly
Operations, corrective action and re-occurrence control and
liaison interface between Manufacturing, Design, Quality
Assurance, and the NASA customer. This also includes
engineering direction in the form of Test engineer to
accomplish Forward Assembly Automated Checkout (ACO).
Generation and validation of software utilized by the
automated cable test equipment for testing of avionics
systems interface electrical harness cabling. Generation
and implementation of work instruction documents designed
to translate the Ares IX/IY Program design drawings and
specifications into assembly and test procedures.
Oct 1996 – Oct 2000: Electronic Technician: SCI Systems,

Duties: Test, troubleshoot, and debug electronic satellite
receivers and global positioning satellite modules to
component level.
Mar 1982 - Sept 1996: Gas Turbine System Technician
Electrical: United States Navy
Duties: Operated, repaired, and performed organizational
and intermediate maintenance on electrical, mechanical and
electronic components of gas turbine engine main propulsion
machinery, auxiliary equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic
hydraulic and propulsion control systems. Troubleshoot
electronic systems and subassemblies. Repair and perform
maintenance on electrical and electronic circuitry up to
printed circuit module with the ability to continue to the
component level. Maintained electromechanical and
electro-hydraulic control systems. Performed engineering
system control checks and calibrations. Analyzed system
control circuit malfunctions and performed diagnostic
programs to diagnose and determine corrective actions.
Supervised and maintained Shipboard Gauge Calibration
Program, which included calibrating switchboard panel
meters, pressure and temperature gauges, and switches.
Reviewed and completed system forms and prepared schedules
for preventive maintenance. Trained and supervised
personnel in the operation, maintenance, repair of
engineering control systems and propulsion machinery
