QUALIFICATIONS:
• A master of organic synthetic chemistry techniques in manipulating fine chemicals and natural product total synthesis (three years hand-on lab experiences in the total synthesis of Azaspiracid-1).
• Excellent experience in various chromatography purification techniques, including aqueous normal-phase chromatography, TLC, IEC, SEC, reversed-phase chromatography etc.
• Excellent experience in organic complex molecule analysis and characterization by 1D and 2D NMR techniques including H1, C13, COSY, TOCSY, NOESY, ROESY etc.
• A process development organic chemist expertise in process optimization to improve efficiency and scalability. (one year hand-on lab experiences in organic methodology experiements)
• Capability of designing rational retro-synthetic routines to construct highly chiral pharmaceuticals with multiple quaternary carbon centers enantioselectively in elegant short steps.
• Familiarity with diastereomer enrichment by chiral HPLC and NMR characterization of each diastereomer.
• Experience in screening and evaluation of reaction conditions and purification methods.
• Ability of data interpretation, data compilation, data summarization and conclusion presentation.
• Work knowledge of organic synthesis and analytical methods such as PH, NMR, HPLC, SEC, TLC, UV, FTIR, GC, LC-MS, ICP, SEM, TEM and so on
