OVERSEAS EXPERIENCE

Qatar Gas, Qatar (From March 2007 to till now)

At present working as Production supervisor of Offshore Production Platforms. Actively involved in the pre – commissioning and Commissioning of 3 mega offshore Platforms from project phase (Platform Construction held at Dubai McDermott Construction yard). Three Mega wet gas stream well head platforms (Normally Not Manned) which are designed to produce 2.8 billion SCFD of wet gas, 140,000 BPD of Condensate as a total which is being supplied to onshore for LNG production (World’s largest LNG Producer). Additionally, experienced in Inlet receiving (gas gathering) section where the well stream fluids received and separated and treated.

Commissioning, Start-up and Operation of following unmanned platform systems:

• Well heads (Cameron Christmas tree).

• Hydraulic control units for the control of entire platform (Frames Hydraulic power Units for well head control, separate Hydraulic power units for platform valves and IOPPS unit).

• Three phase separators (Fully automated remotely controlled Test Separator operations through Field ware Operation).

• Instrumented over Pressure Protection System for Export line integrity.

Experienced in Qatar Gas Offshore Gas Treating Platform designed to treat 1800 MMSCFD of wet gas from well heads which consists of Three Trains (each 600 MMSCFD) and three wellheads to supply onshore as dry gas. The job involves the operation of following units.

• Well Heads (Christmas tree, Baker hydraulic panel, well testing)

• Slug catcher and Test Separators (Three phase separators)

• Natural Gas Liquid recovery, condensate filtration.

• Glycol dehydration unit (TEG absorption and Regeneration)

Total Abu Al Bukhoosh, Abu Dhabi (from Sep 2005 to March 2007)

Worked as an Offshore Production Panel Operator in a Gas treating complex of Offshore Khuff Gas Development project. The plant is designed to treat 640 MMSCFD of wet gas from the well heads, which consists of four trains (each 160 MMSCFD).

Worked in crude oil production platform which have the capacity of 80,000 BPD of crude from various remote well heads. 20,000 BPD of Crude stabilized in two stages and the associated gas is dehydrated, compressed in high pressure centrifugal compressors driven by gas turbines to use in Gas lifts.

The job involves commissioning, start-up and operation of following units and equipments.

• Slug catcher, Well stream separator (Three phase separators)

• Natural Gas Liquid recovery, stabilisation and dewatering package (KCC)

• Condensate export system (multi stage centrifugal pump, SULZER)

• Glycol Dehydration unit (TEG Absorption and Regeneration, PROSERNAT)

• 125 MMSCFD capacity Flare gas Recovery Compressor (Centrifugal compressor, MITSUBISHI)

Synthesis Gas Compressor (MITSUBISHI CLARK)

The normal suction capacity of the synthesis gas compressor is 1, 30,500 Nm3/hr. The driver is an extraction condensing turbine developing 20MW at 10,300 rpm at normal rated point. Operating at 10,000 rpm and 230 KSC of discharge pressure.

Synthesis Loop Refrigeration Compressor (HITACHI)

At normal operation the discharge pressure is 17kg/cm2g. Normal discharge capacity of the compressor is 55,000 Nm3/hr. Its turbine is driven normal rated speed is 9000 rpm.

Process Air Compressor (HITACHI)

Two barrels of horizontally split casing with a capacity of 44,800 NM3/Hr at 33.7bar discharge pressure. Prime mover is impulse condensing type turbine with an output of 9550 Kw.

Duties and Responsibilities as a Production Supervisor

• Managing the safe and efficient operation of H2S &CO2 rich offshore platform operations.

• Monitors and ensures that all Process parameters in different process systems are within the operational requirements and Design capabilities to maximize production/quality-making adjustment without affecting process operations.

• Implements management objectives and operational plans to achieve Zero Flaring and production target.

• Supervisor-in-Charge of all operational activities in terms of HSE aspect. Having Sound knowledge of PTW System, Operational Isolation Standards, and Risk Assessment Systems and control measures.

• Part of the Crisis Management Team, co-ordinates and lead the operational activities during the safety drills and the real emergency.

• Conducts routine Group Tool Box meeting and regular Group HSE meeting.

• Fully conversant with all aspects of Control Room functions including ESD panels, F&G panels and cause & effect charts.

• Co-ordinates with various departments like R&P(for well maintenance, well testing, and PLT jobs), Loss prevention and Corrosion engineering(for corrosion and hydrate management), Logistics(for Chemical purchase) and shutdown team(for shutdown activities),

• Routine inspection of facilities and equipment to ensure efficient operation and safe conditions. Evaluates necessary rectification activities during the Trouble-shooting or Emergency situations.

• Liaises and assists contracted maintenance personnel when carrying out work during commissioning / shutdown.

• Prepares Training and career development programs, Conducts performance evaluation for Nationals.

• Prepares Operator’s yearly leave schedule and daily/monthly work area allotment schedule for efficient manpower control

• Reviews of procedures and Standing instructions on regular intervals.
