Women’s Affair Advisor;-Army; Combined Joint Task Force-1, Combined Joint-9; Regional Command-East; Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan

• Provided assistance, advice and briefs to US military, civilians, and Afghan population on women’s issues according to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Bonn Agreement, and the Afghanistan National Development Strategy and National Action Plan for the Women of Afghanistan (NAPWA).

• Engaged in and provided advice to prominent Afghan women in the Afghan Ministries, Parliament, Afghan women business owners order to build and develop relationships that will positively influence the viability of women’s roles in Afghan culture. I have also assisted the Ministry of Women’s Affairs (MoWA) the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s (GIRoA) implementation of international treaties including the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.

• Provided gender policy and implementation recommendations to the Ministry of Women’s Affairs on topics of integration in technical sectors such as health, education, democracy and governance, economic growth, agriculture, infrastructure, and stabilization for women and girls.

• As cultural advisor in providing professional advice and assistance on cultural, social, religious, political, economic, and tribal matters critical to a war-torn country.
