Position: Site Superintendent From Nov 2010 – Jul 2011

Work as Site Superintendent and Quality assurance for 20MW Solar Power Farm in Amherstburg, Ontario Canada. Supervise, monitor, and record all activities of solar farm to meet the quality of SunPower and local regulatory authorities (ESA, CSA, and HONI):

• Day to Day Activities: As a Site Superintended involved in supervision of 20 MW solar farm erections, testing and commissioning for 60,000 PV panels on 6500 Trackers in total area of 180 acres. (Supervision of Concrete work, Third party testing, Installation supervision of Helical piers, Trackers (PV panels), MV & LV cables, Fiber signal cables, SCADA, Array wiring & MC4 connections, Combiners, Re-combiners, Inverters, Tracker motion control panels, A.C. Breakers, Transformers, Ground rings and network, Main substation installation and cabling, interfacing with HONI, ESA Inspections etc.)

• Supervision and co-ordination with General contractor and sub contractors for installation of Mechanical and Electrical equipments installation (Transformers, Inverters, Protection system, Re-combiner boxes, Combiner boxes etc.)

• Supervision of Combiner boxes & TMAC (Tracker Motor Advance Control) units for each row in Solar Farm. (Ultra modern Tracking technology developed by SunPower for most efficient conversation of Sun rays to electricity. The TMAC controls movement of trackers and position in direction of Sun)

• Quality Assurance: Implementation of QA plan for all equipment installation of 20 MW project from Trackers (PV panels) to equipments on pads 500KW to 1MW.

• Developed various quality control measures to monitor and record work quality like Daily log, Weekly and Monthly reports, Check lists, Completion reports (Travelers), Safety reports, LOTO etc. and implementation of SunPower quality plan for resolving defects (Fixer finder), NCRs and issues rise on day to day activities and request for information, design changes and amendments etc.

• Use and implement various PMO (Project Management Office) tools like DPMO system, Charts and report generations.

• Testing & Commissioning: Monitoring and evaluating testing like Continuity, Polarity, VOC IR, Hi-pot tests of Electrical wires, LV & DC cables and MV Cables.

• Supervise testing and commissioning of Electrical equipments like Transformers, Breakers, Inverters, Re-combiner and Combiner boxes, TMAC units and main substation upto Hydro One (HONI) connection.

• Overall in-charge of erection, testing, commissioning, Quality and working with one general contractor and four sub-contractors.

• Project Manager: 2004 to 2007: Overall project management of specialty chemical production facilities of 45,000 TPA with budget of US$ 27 million. • Assistant Project Manager: 1998 to 2000: Worked as an Assistant project manager for major de-bottle necking of chemical plant with budget of US$ 6.5 million to increase productivity by 25%. Oversee all disciplines activities from planning and scheduling; procurement and safety; Manpower handling to completion of the project with test run.

• Project Coordinator: 1995 to 1997: Project Co-ordination for 20,000 TPA Epoxy resin plants and Pilot plant with budget of US$ 18 Million. Lead the team of 35 international skilled trade workers including Japanese, British, Korean, Australian, Indian and Thai. Directly involved in basic designing and detailed engineering; vendor selection and negotiation; order placement and imports; Commissioning and testing of overall project. Project was completed with 3% under budget.

• Project Electrical Engineer: 1991 to 1993: In-charge of Electricals installation of 10,000 TPA Epoxy resins plant with total budget of US$ 12 million. Planning and scheduling; basic and detailed engineering; procurement, commissioning and testing of electrical equipments. Project completed 60 days ahead.
