Materials Planner in Overhaul & Repair Include:
Gather all required data (material costs, material lead-times & labor hours) and prepare the price quote to repair customer assets returned for repair.
Review Engineering documentation to identify required piece parts and subassemblies and identify possible sources.
Prioritize, track and report on all customer assets returned for overhaul and repair.
Analyze requirements for repair, identified by the repair technicians, for cost and availability.
Create and maintain repair Bills of Materials in Visibility, as required.
Interface with customers and negotiate repair & overhaul pricing and delivery, as required.
Act as the liaison with customers identify and obtain required documentation needed to perform “third party repairs” and to provide them the current status of their assets received for repair.
Review contract requirements and prepare documentation to ship assets back to the appropriate customers. Requires interfacing with Sales, Quality Control and various other disciplines within Cobham (Atlantic Microwave).
Enter information for repairable assets into the CAV (Commercial Asset Visibility) system for government tracking.
Review FBO (FedBizOps) government website for repair business opportunities. Using HIS (Haystack )& Logiquest to research vital information about the asset in the posting.
